Holiday Gift Guide

This year has been far from mundane, and with limited visibility of a return to normalcy it makes this holiday season all the more precious. It’s a time to be grateful, a time to heal, and to make the best of the situations we find ourselves in. We don’t know where the next year will take us, though we hope it’s to new heights and happy returns.

This holiday season, it’s about comfort. Our team has been working hard to ensure that everything we deliver this season is refined, durable and ready for whatever 2021 throws at us. Below is our team’s recommended gift guide, stay safe and care for one another.

Wishing you a happy holiday.

This year my family will get in the car and head to Mallacoota, VIC, to see family I haven't been able to see in years. This year was especially hard for them as they were in one of the world's toughest and longest COVID-19 lockdowns of 112 days. We are planning on spending our time being outside, fishing & kayaking. I am sure we will be eating a mix of our traditional Ukrainian Christmas food, cakes from Monarch Cakes in Melbourne, and anything else that will keep us cool in the heat.

Every year we spend Christmas with my entire family at my aunt's house. There's a lot of us. Three generations in one house coming together. This year my mom, being the mom that she is, insists that even though we can't be together, she'll still prepare food for us. We'll all have the same dinner, but in different houses.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE | AUSTRALIA

Being from North America and having family in Europe, my holidays are usually spent bundled up by the fire, a warm drink in hand and the spread of traditional Polish food. However, as travel is no possible, my partner and I will be spending a quiet Christmas just the two of us in northern NSW with margaritas and a bucket of cold prawns. Traditions are a bit different these days, but I'm grateful nonetheless.

Normally I’m at my parents house in Paris surrounded by family. We have dinner next to the chimney. We open gifts on the same day, the 24th, and I go to Church. I celebrate New Year’s Eve with friends. We eat, drink and dance. My holidays are usually spent between Paris, London, Köln or Angers though this year it will be very quiet. This year, we won't go back to Paris because of the pandemic, instead, I'll be spending it in Montreal with my little sister.

Holidays are best spent in the company of family, friends, and it’s a tradition I tend to uphold throughout December and January, in whichever way it manifests. I won’t be able to see a handful of summer regulars this year, but it won’t stop me from getting festive with those in my close quarters. I can assure you there will be beer, there will be laughs and there will be gifts this holiday season, despite 2020’s attempts to stop me.
